Over a century ago thousands of Argonauts took part in "The Last Great Adventure", storming through Skagway on their quest for Klondike Gold. As a memento of this journey, they often had gold nuggets fashioned into jewelry. This style of jewelry preserves and presents each gold nugget in its unique form and natural beauty.
For over three decades in Skagway, Taiya River Jewelry owner Casey McBride has carried on this tradition creating finely crafted natural gold nugget jewelry using nuggets from Alaska, Yukon, and British Columbia. Ten years ago Marcia Cook came on board and added her Alaska-themed and unique jewelry designs to the store. Casey and Marcia will design custom jewelry just for you and attach any charm or size most ring styles from our store with no extra charge.
Taiya River Jewelry has closed the Skagway store and relocated to an 1885 Farmhouse on 15 acres in Northeast Iowa. We continue to craft jewelry and will offer our work on line on this web site and will also have our pieces at locations in Skagway. We are available for special orders. And, to the best of our ability, we will also provide Jewelry from the other Vendors we have carried over the years.
We thank you for your past patronage and hope to continue serving you in the future.
